Our Story

I’ve always been creative in different ways and loved making other people happier. When I was 10, I made a Unicorn Cake. Tried to would be the more apt term. It did not turn out very well. However, I kept working on making more desserts and sweets and, eventually, I got to the point where I used a chocolate cake to help me get into the high school I attend.

By the time I was in High School, I had found that I could make people happy with my sweets, and it was something I already adored doing. I had always had a dream of cooking when I was older, but my experiences as I grew solidified it beyond doubt. I wanted to create a bakery where I could share my sweets with as many people as I could and bring a dash of delicious joy to other people’s lives. Every smile I see makes me more and more sure of my path and more and more determined to make sure that anyone who wants one is able to have a delicious treat that they love.

Because my love of baking came from making things for my family and friends, I’ve developed a mindset of baking with love. Everything I make, I make for others with love and care flowing through the kitchen. Even for those I don’t know well, I put love into the work I do for them, for everyone is a friend you just might not know yet.

Moreover, I wanted a bakery that would sell desserts for everyone, including people with dietary restrictions. My mother has a friend who is heavily allergic to gluten, and she is where this desire came from. I remember driving with my mother to pick up a cake for her and she told me how little bakeries there were in Houston that served good gluten-free cakes that she could pickup. I decided from that moment on that I wanted to figure out how to make delicious gluten-free cakes, and I want to figure out how to allow people with other dietary restrictions to enjoy sweets too.

Gluten-free cakes aren’t the only way to make something gluten-free, of course. Another option I found was macarons. Trying to make macarons the first time went alright, but the second time I messed them up worse. Still, with every failure, there is an option for learning, and the only way to truly fail is to give up. I want this bakery to not just sell cupcakes and cakes, but several different desserts. While, for now, I’m still learning and growing, Savi’s Sweets & Eats will become a reliable sweets bakery that has something delicious and hand-crafted with love for everyone.
